STAINLESS STEEL BOLTED STORAGE TANKS
PERFORMANCE
Northern Steel Tanks offers stainless steel bolted tanks in a wide range of capacities and configurations to meet the project requirements. Stainless steel tanks utilize the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel which can be used in many industrial, water, and wastewater applications.
Without the need for any further protection stainless steel tanks can give robust long-term service with the added benefit of an excellent recycling value when the tank is no longer required.
The tanks are site-erected using stainless steel fixings and high-grade polyurethane or silicone sealants depending on the application.
All stainless steel material is supplied in either a 2B cold rolled mill finish or a 1D hot rolled finish, based upon the thickness of the material supplied. This provides a good balance between the material properties of the stainless steel and its aesthetic finish. Permastore always sources directly from a steel mill, or primary stockholders, and not from brokers.
Fabricated components are manufactured to Permastore’s independently tested and verified Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) to BS EN ISO 15614-1 and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) by fully certified coded welders to BS EN ISO 9606-1.
The stainless steel tank components are post-weld cleaned and finished ensuring the best possible overall appearance and presentation of the finished product. When in sheet form the stainless steel is poly-coated on the external surface to protect the finish during both manufacture and installation.
BENEFITS OF STAINLESS STEEL
Corrosion-resistant - they do not suffer from the general loss of section characteristic of rusting in irons and carbon steels.
Designed for a long maintenance-free life. They are readily recyclable at the end of their economic life and are valuable useable feedstock for stainless steel producers, thus contributing to sustainable development.
Application: pH range: pH 3-11
Material Grades: stainless steel 304 and 316 manufactured per EN 10088 or relevant international standards, including ASTM A240/ASME SA-240 as appropriate.
APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:
Food and beverage industrial process
Treatment and storage tanks
Pharmaceutical and chemical process
Dairy farming pasteurization tanks
